The Art of the First Drift

For my first Drift I will be using a circle drawn on a map to record my sounds. I will have a mixture of sounds from Milwaukee and Sussex, since I don't live in Milwaukee. But, by combining the use of each city's sounds, I should be able to create a very interesting Drift 2. The way that I will draw the circle on the map is also different from what most people will think I'm doing. I am going to draw half a circle on a map of Sussex, and the other half of the circle on the Milwaukee map. I feel that this will create a very random walking path, and by doing so, will allow for an interesting combination of sounds.

I am going to start my recording in Sussex, since I am here all weekend. Sussex is a great place to record sounds because the city itself is a combination of fields/open places, and busy streets. There are also many railroad crossings going through the busy parts of Sussex, so I can hopefully get a recording of a train.
